AthFest Performance
Come see GCC on the AthFest KidFest stage!
AthFest is an annual free, three-day festival that celebrates Athens, GA’s vibrant creative culture, featuring local and regional musicians and visual artists. Thousands of people flock to the streets of historic downtown Athens each AthFest to experience live music by artists from a variety of genres, enjoy local artwork, and soak up the vibe of one of America’s coolest cities. Locals mingle with out of towners while music fills the air and art, food and fun fill the streets.
The festival includes three free outdoor stages with live music performances, a block-long Artist Market with dozens of visual artists, artisans and makers, and a block-long KidsFest area to make sure even our youngest fans get in on the music and art fun!
After the free outdoor stages wrap up Friday and Saturday nights, the official AthFest Club Crawl kicks into gear. Music venues and clubs will host lineups filled with local music.
AthFest raises money for the nonprofit AthFest Educates, which awards grants to support music and arts education for K-12 students in Athens.
Athens Farmers Market Performances
This is a very special performance by our Summer Camp and Summer Singing Club participants!
As a music city, the Athens Farmers Market would not be complete without live music at each of our markets! Over the past 15 seasons, we have provided almost 3000 hours of live music to the community. With live music on both Wednesday and Saturday markets, AFM provides a space for friends, neighbors, and families to connect, dance, and appreciate the talent of, our local musicians. Tips are always welcome. Thank you to Nuci’s Space for providing the sound equipment!

Spring Performance: I Am a Voice That Sings
I Am a Voice That Sings is a celebration of the joy, courage, and connection that live within all of us. Through a diverse and uplifting program performed by all ensembles of the Georgia Children’s Chorus - including works by Tracy Wong, Benjamin Britten, Marques L.A. Garrett, Abbie Betinis, and Michael Bussewitz-Quarm, the concert explores music that reminds us to look beyond the noise and comparisons of the outside world and instead listen to the wisdom of our own hearts. These songs invite us to seek light in moments of uncertainty, to support one another, and to sing with honesty and hope. Above all, we hope this program inspires our audience to remember a simple truth: each of us is enough, and each of us is a voice that sings.
